Princeton-Flemington Eye Institute is a leader in eye care. We have over 25 years of service to our patients and the community. We provide a wide range of services in our two locations. We also carry the latest in fashion eyewear and can create custom lenses and glasses at our onsite Optical Shop. We offer contact lens fittings with all different type of contact lenses – hard lenses, soft lenses, daily or extended wear lenses, and colored cosmetic lenses.

A Comprehensive or Routine Eye Exam includes:
  • Review of Ocular, Medical and Family History
  • Visual Acuity to check your vision
  • Refraction to determine the optimum prescription for eyeglasses
  • Intraocular Pressure Check as a screening for Glaucoma
  • Retinal exam through Dilation or High-tech Optomap retinal imaging (picture of the retina is taken without dilating)
Many serious eye or medical problems are first discovered in a routine exam especially since many eye diseases are asymptomatic. A routine eye exam is recommended every 2 years until 40 years of age. For people over the age of 40, eye exams are recommended annually. People with systemic diseases such as Hypertension or Diabetes should have an annual exam since these diseases can detrimentally affect your eyes and vision if not properly controlled.
